This class will give you the basic method of working with a Judy Niemeyer pattern, from understanding her specific directions for cutting, organizing and sewing, through the completion of your quilt.

Throw Size 49”X 62”
String quilts are a wonderful way to use all those scraps left over from other projects, and they don’t need to be any specific length (as long as they are 6” long). They don’t need to be cut exactly to width, or even straight. In fact, the more haphazardly cut the better! This quilt is a variation of the quilt “June” in the book No Scrap Left Behind by Amanda Jean Nyberg. Although this book has some great ideas for other string projects it is not required for the class.

The Pineapple block is the most complex of the Log Cabins. The design radiates from the center and the overlapping angled strips produce a jagged edge that creates a dazzling whirl of motion! We’ll be using the Pineapple Trim Ruler, making this quilt fun and accurate. The pattern makes a throw-size, but you can make yours as small or as large as you’d like, straight-on or on-point.
